As a Transmission Line Engineer-in-Training at Wood, you will have the opportunity to work with a team that provides consulting and EPCM services for various power generation and transmission companies in Canada.

This position is located in our Calgary, AB office, or any of the following locations: Vancouver, BC, Edmonton, AB, Saskatoon, SK, Oakville, ON, or St Johns, NL.

We are looking for a candidate with a successful track record and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Transmission, Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university, along with a Professional Engineering Designation or eligibility for registration with APEGA or similar.

A minimum of 0-3 years of transmission line engineering experience is required, with proven experience in designing transmission lines using PLS–CADD/PLS-TOWER/PLS-POLE.

The candidate should have knowledge of electrical or structural aspects of transmission lines, as well as utility-specific knowledge of standards and safety requirements.

Experience in construction support for Transmission projects and familiarity with AutoCAD are also desirable.
