Job Title: Acute Care Hospitalist

Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Acute Care Hospitalist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality medical care to designated hospital in-patients, working closely with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care to designated hospital in-patients, including those who are "unattached" or without a primary care physician.
  • Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts.
Requirements:
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) unrestricted license.
  • ACLS training.
  • Ability to work effectively as a consultant, integrating all CanMEDS roles to provide optimal patient care.
