Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Acute Care Hospitalist to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide high-quality care to designated hospital in-patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide MRP coverage for designated in-patients, utilizing excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills to assess and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the care team and hospitalists to facilitate transfer of patient care.
- Actively participate as a preceptor for medical trainees to develop inpatient acute care skills.
- Ensure that case conferences for complex multi-morbid patients include primary care and receiving agencies.
- Communicate discharge plans to the receiving community physician or nurse practitioner in a manner that optimizes continuity of care.
- Participate in education to support accurate and comprehensive coding practices.
- Develop competency with Dragon Medical One voice transcription when available.
- College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) unrestricted license.
- ACLS Training.
