The Assistant Store Manager provides crucial support to the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail store operations, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. In the absence of the Store Manager, acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD). This role involves managing staff, executing daily operational tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing staff, execution of daily operational tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a stimulating and diverse working environment

Daily tasks include assisting the Store Manager in daily operations and staff management, helping with store merchandizing, shelf stocking, and unboxing daily shipments, providing exceptional customer service, resolving escalated issues, and training, coaching, and developing employees.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of two years' experience in the retail industry
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a team management position
  • Open availability required (day, evening, weekend)
  • Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities
  • Good leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume environment

This is a full-time permanent position with additional pay, including bonus pay, and benefits such as casual dress, employee assistance program, extended healthcare, flexible schedule, and RRSP match. The language requirement is English only, but French is not required. The schedule includes Monday to Friday with weekends as needed.
