Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist Pathologist to join our team in the Government of Alberta.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on industry standards and experience requirements.

Job Description
  • Assist with Autopsies and Examinations

As a Medical Specialist Pathologist, you will assist with autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under the supervision of pathologists. This will involve removing organs and tissue specimens from bodies in the morgue as directed by the pathologist.

Education and Experience

Candidates must have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, and at least 5 years of experience in a related field.

Specialty Residency Training

A specialty residency training in pathology is required for this position.

Certification Examination

Candidates must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Candidates must have extensive knowledge of pathology and its applications in medical science.

Communication Skills

Excellent communication skills are essential for working effectively with other healthcare professionals.
