Job Title: Corporate Finance Director

Are you a seasoned finance professional looking for a challenging role that will utilize your skills and experience? We are seeking a Corporate Finance Director to join our team at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).

About the Role

The Corporate Finance Director will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, as well as providing financial guidance and support to the Executive Leadership Team and other stakeholders. This role will also involve managing a team of financial analysts and providing coaching and development opportunities to help them grow in their careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the Executive Leadership Team and other stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Manage a team of financial analysts and provide coaching and development opportunities to help them grow in their careers.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication of financial information.
Requirements
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
  • Strong knowledge of public sector accounting standards and experience working with generally accepted accounting and financial principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of financial analysts.
