About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our CT scanners, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of computed tomography examinations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiological technology, with a focus on computed tomography. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders.

The CT Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Positioning patients to obtain high-quality images
  • Operating equipment safely and following radiation protection guidelines
  • Performing clerical duties related to patient handling and customer service
  • Traveling to other sites as required

About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Has Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Has Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Has experience with CT imaging and IV procedures
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is able to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent part-time position, with 48.75 hours biweekly. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The hourly rate is $34.24 - $39.96.
