Actuarial Analyst - Corporate Actuarial

Definity is seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our Corporate Actuarial team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for compiling and categorizing data from various sources, creating and evaluating predictive models, and communicating actuarial concepts to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and categorize data from spreadsheets, databases, and cloud platforms for valuation, planning, capital modeling, risk evaluation, and other analyses.
  • Create and evaluate predictive models in support of Corporate Actuarial functions.
  • Communicate actuarial concepts and make recommendations to Management both verbally and in writing with supporting documentation.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of new automated processes for Corporate Actuarial teams.
  • Independently respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform peer reviews on the technical and qualitative analysis of peers and junior team members.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical discipline.
  • Completion of 4-6 exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong programming skills.
  • Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
  • Team player, adaptable to a changing and fast-paced environment.

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
