We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Sitara Indian Cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.

We offer a permanent position with 30-40 hours of work per week and English as the primary work language.
