Job Summary

Habitat for Humanity Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Global Village program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the program's projects, volunteers, and finances, as well as developing and implementing strategies to grow the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and implementation of the Global Village program's projects, including planning, budgeting, and monitoring.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers, including developing and implementing volunteer management strategies.
  • Develop and manage the program's budget, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Habitat for Humanity Canada staff, volunteers, and partners.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the program, including identifying new opportunities and partnerships.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Global Village team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the program's compliance with Habitat for Humanity Canada's policies and procedures.
  • Manage the program's risk and ensure that all necessary controls are in place to mitigate risks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a non-profit or charitable organization.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as business administration, international development, or non-profit management.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, including the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management software and tools, including budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Fluency in written and oral English, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
