**Job Summary**

Child & Family Services of Central Manitoba Inc. is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Intake Specialist. As a non-profit charitable organization, we strive to provide innovative services to families in need.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Serve as the primary point of contact for new referrals, responding to inquiries and assessing the suitability of cases for our services.

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the best course of action for each family, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

• Develop and implement strategies to protect vulnerable children and families, working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to administrative requirements and ensuring seamless communication with colleagues and partners.

• Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive support services, leveraging expertise and resources to achieve optimal outcomes.

**Requirements:**

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, with a background in Child and Family Services.

• Eligibility for registration with the College of Social Work is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act and several years of experience in Child and Family Services.

• Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

• Demonstrated expertise in assessing risk in child protection situations, with a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families.

• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening or weekend shifts, to meet the needs of the organization and its clients.
