Child & Family Services of Central Manitoba Inc. is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Intake Worker. As a non-profit charitable organization, we pride ourselves on applying innovative models in service delivery and utilizing a strength-based approach in supporting families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for new referrals, assessing their suitability for our services.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine whether referrals align with the Child and Family Services Act.
- Take prompt action to protect children in situations requiring immediate intervention.
- Refer cases that do not meet our criteria to relevant services.
- Ensure adherence to administrative requirements, collaborating with the Four Authorities and provincial guidelines.
- Accurately document intake information on our module.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, preferably with experience in Child and Family Services.
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Social Work is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act and several years of experience in Child and Family Services.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to assess risk in child protection situations.
- Flexibility to accommodate noon hour coverage.
Compensation:
- Salary as per CUPE Local #2483 Collective Agreement.
- $55, $85,865.01 annually.
