Senior Leadership Opportunity in Water Practice

This is an exceptional chance for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role in our Water practice. As a Senior Water Resources Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing water studies for major mining projects across Canada. Your work will contribute to our clients' success in delivering environmental assessments, resolving permitting challenges, and making informed operational decisions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to expand our water management services and client base in Canada, serving as a key member of our technical team to drive growth in environmental impact assessment, permitting, risk assessment, water resources management, and site closure.
  • Lead the preparation of technical documents in your field of expertise, delegating work to junior staff and serving as the senior technical reviewer as needed.
  • Contribute to business development in our global impact assessment and planning service area, identifying and developing new opportunities, preparing effective technical proposals, and taking an active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.
  • Cultivate existing ERM client relationships to expand our profile and market share through excellence in technical delivery and business development, serving as the main point of contact for our clients and fostering deep relationships across multiple technical disciplines and service lines.
  • Collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams with other ERM subject matter experts to integrate our different types of work and communicate our collective findings to a wide range of audiences.

Requirements:

  • P.Eng. or P.Geo with MSc/PhD in civil or environmental engineering or a related field.
  • 15+ years of consulting experience in water resource management, impact assessment, and permitting in the Mining Sector, with specific expertise in hydrometeorology, water balance, and/or geochemical modeling, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and modeling of environmental water quality.
  • Solid grasp of key regulatory drivers within the mining and energy sector, as well as a high degree of technical competence and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices.
  • Well-developed team building and influencing skills, unquestionable integrity, and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address client and business needs and challenges.
  • Recognized technical expertise by an established reputation in the marketplace, including a positive reputation with key regulators relevant to environmental approvals.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Strong English writing and presentation skills.

Compensation:

The annual base pay for this position is $134,383 - $157,341 CAD, with an employee's pay position within this range based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary-based performance bonus.
