Authorization Technician

The BC Public Service Agency is seeking a highly skilled Authorization Technician to join our Thompson Okanagan Water Allocation Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting water management by providing technical evaluation and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical evaluation and advisory services to support water management decisions
- Work closely with internal and external partners to ensure informed, evidence-based water management decisions
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to water allocation and permitting
- Collaborate with team members to achieve team goals and objectives
- Diploma or higher in the natural resource field, or a combination of education and experience in the natural resource management field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in natural resource management
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management of groundwater or surface water
