Job Title: Associate Branch Director

Job Summary:

The Associate Branch Director is a key leadership role that oversees all aspects of the branch, working in concert with the Branch Director. This individual is responsible for overall branch profitability, meeting strategic targets through sales management, human resource management, operations control, and supervision of compliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Clearly demonstrates effective management and supervision of all compliance issues and responsibilities on a daily basis.
  2. Provides effective and consistent communication via weekly sales meetings, sales support meetings, and team meetings.
  3. Engages in high-performance coaching with each Investment Advisor.
  4. Provides ongoing coaching to Branch Administrators to ensure their duties are understood and accomplished with a high degree of success.
  5. Clearly demonstrates behaviors that motivate all employees for greatest results, including personal development, recognition, and promotion.
  6. Consistently seeks opportunities to engage employees in improving the working environment within the branch.
  7. Develops actionable feedback for Investment Advisors and support staff, whether it is positive or corrective.
  8. Solves difficult problems effectively.
  9. Deals with the root cause, looks beyond the obvious, and doesn't stop at the first or easy answer.

Requirements:

  1. CSC and CPH, and ability to complete BM license within 3 months.
  2. Retail Brokerage Experience with minimum of 2 years Investment Advisor experience or similar experience.
  3. Post-secondary Education (College or University).
  4. Proven experience in leading a team, coaching, and developing and motivating others.
  5. Demonstrated experience in dealing with ambiguity and managing multiple operations and servicing activities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Ability to engage a diverse team that includes branch staff, middle office, and internal and external partners.
  7. Experience in managing multiple priorities and in dealing with challenging and sometimes complex situations to drive success.
  8. Decisive and Results Driven.
