We are seeking a skilled Client Service Representative to join our team in Ottawa.

As a Client Service Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a profitable book of business based on the company's objectives and individual business plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Requesting and following up with insurers and/or clients for outstanding information, endorsements, or policy documentation.
  • Preparing proposals for renewals and new business.
  • Responding to telephone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters.
  • Working with Client Executives and Client Service Managers in negotiating with Insurers and/or changes, renewals, and new business where applicable.
  • Reviewing policy wordings and other documentation for accuracy and completeness, and as required, noting and correcting errors.
  • Creating abeyance and following up for outstanding items from underwriters, markets, and clients.
  • Marketing own new business and renewals when necessary.
  • Monitoring and following up on outstanding client's receivables.
  • Creating and streamlining processes.
  • Responsible for monthly Bordeaux, where required.
  • Invoicing and managing receivables.
  • Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years industry-related experience.
  • Professional designation required (RIBO).
  • Good knowledge of markets and their policy wordings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently, as part of a team.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good knowledge of Intact Broker Portal and EPIC is an asset.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented.
  • High attention to detail.
