Senior Manager Commercial Sales

About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned commercial banking professional to join our team as a Senior Manager of Commercial Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team that evaluates and recommends conventional and CMHC mortgage loans, nationally throughout Canada.

About the Work Environment:
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role, you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home, typically working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.
About the Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial banking.
- Minimum 3 years of experience of working on variety of CMHC Insured loans.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team in a professional setting.
- Advanced Excel and Data Modelling skills, Excellent MS office skills required
- Knowledge of CMHC policies and corporate lending policies.
- Familiarity with AML and KYC requirements.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate markets in Canada.
- Expert in financial statements and real estate analysis.
- Experience in Ncino or Sharepoint is considered an asset.
- Experience in ERP implementation in any business function is considered an asset.
About the Day-to-Day:
- Manage a team that evaluates and recommends conventional and CMHC mortgage loans, nationally throughout Canada, in accordance with procedures and policy guidelines.
- Identify inefficiencies in the underwriting process and be actively involved in improving & rectifying situations
- Contribute to the comprehensive administration of the portfolio, encompassing ongoing loan management and accountability
- Coordinate the flow of deals from start to end, assist the team leader in process development, automation and develop reports to monitor efficiency.
- Liaise and collaborate with all the relevant stakeholders that related to the Commercial Lending business, including the Administration, Funding, Treasury and Accounting Teams.
- Assist in the training and mentoring the team into experts in credit analysis and risk assessment.
About the Compensation:
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $95,000 and $110,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possess.
