Job Summary:

The User Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems and networks. This includes reporting on system performance, responding to user inquiries, and providing advice and training to users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems and networks.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and report on any issues or concerns.
  • User Training: Provide training and advice to users on how to use computer systems and networks effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with users and other technical staff to resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Skills: Linux, Internet, desktop applications, file management software, MS Office, and electronic mail.
Work Environment:

The User Support Technician will work in a hybrid environment, with a mix of in-office and remote work.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Security and Safety:

The User Support Technician will be required to undergo a criminal record check.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The User Support Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.

Personal Suitability:

The User Support Technician must have excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
