Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a variety of education, skills, and recreational activities for our patients. Your primary goal will be to promote a safe and supportive environment that fosters growth, learning, and healing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead group therapy sessions, focusing on education, skills, and recreational activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our patients.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Document patient progress and provide feedback to the Group Therapy Coordinator.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, in-service trainings, and quality assurance activities to enhance your professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and failure-free environment for our clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Interact with clients, treatment teams, and unit staff in a positive and effective manner.
  • Communicate client-related information to clinical staff in a timely and effective manner.
  • Complete clinical documentation and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or a related field.
  • Experience working with clinical populations is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
