Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging education, skills, and recreational activities for our patients. Your primary goal will be to promote a safe and supportive environment that fosters personal growth, socialization, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead group activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our patients, including art, music, and other creative pursuits.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless integration of activities into treatment plans and to address any emerging clinical issues.
  • Document patient progress and provide regular feedback to the Group Therapy Coordinator on the effectiveness of activities.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of new programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or a related field.
  • Experience working with clinical populations, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries, ensuring a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
