District Sales Manager

Waste Connections of Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Sales Manager to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve volume growth, price targets, and customer retention.
Key Responsibilities:- Create strategic action plans by line of business.
- Plan and execute annual and monthly rate adjustments.
- Establish sales targets for each sales representative and guide them to achieve sales and retention targets.
- Determine territory structure, including roles, areas of focus, and number of sales representatives.
- Conduct mid-year reviews to reset roles and areas of focus, and territory assignments.
- Create compensation plans to align sales representatives with company strategy and focus efforts in key areas.
- Review account retention and improve processes and pricing.
- Meet with sales representatives weekly to review expectations and results.
- Review pipeline weekly using CRM reporting.
- Conduct annual and mid-year performance evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a contract sales environment.
- 3-5 years of sales management experience with demonstrated coaching and leadership skills.
- Industry experience is an asset.
- Tact, diplomacy, and people skills for business development with key customers.
- Analytical skills to determine margins, density needs, incentives, and pricing.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office to create documents and presentations.
- Proven time management and territory management skills.
