Job SummaryWe're seeking a District Manager to oversee and support our growing operations in Manitoba. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for building and developing your team, ensuring district operations run smoothly, and driving business growth. If you're a people-focused leader with a passion for cannabis and retail operations, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Team Development
- Build and develop a high-performing team through recognition, coaching, and communication.
- Conduct regular store visits and weekly district meetings to understand team needs and opportunities.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure district operations run at their highest level, with a focus on regulatory compliance and efficient operations.
- Align day-to-day business with brand strategy, marketing, and sales objectives.
- Financial Management
- Review regional financials, KPIs, secret shopper reports, and store-level marketing efforts.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Facilitate and lead all NSOs and NSAs within the region, representing the organization positively.
- Work collaboratively with NSO/NSA leads to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Store Manager Support
- Provide consistent support for the personal development of store managers.
- Guest Experience
- Build a best-in-industry guest experience and continuously improve it.
- Culture and Learning
- Create a culture of learning within your teams and with our guests.
- Ensure ongoing development for your teams on job-related skills and product education.
- Performance Management
- Conduct performance reviews with store managers.
- Work with People and Culture to lead professional development planning for store managers and assistant managers.
- Community Building
- Build a community with our neighbors and partners.
- Inclusive Environment
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
- Proactive Leadership
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and take action to address them.
We're looking for a candidate with:
- A minimum of 5 years' people management experience in the retail or hospitality industry.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Hospitality, or Retail Management (preferred).
- Experience analyzing financial or sales data and making informed business decisions.
- Experience working with best-in-class retail operations, leading multi-door operations is an asset.
- A proven track record of driving operational excellence.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivation and exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Possession of knowledge about cannabis and enthusiasm for the industry.
- Able to complete the Provincial Cannabis Certification program and successfully complete all required background checks.
- Able to leverage technology, skilled in POS, Social Media, and MS Office.
