We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Renal Resource Team at St. Boniface Hospital, part of the Winnipeg Health Region.

As a Senior Medical Nurse Specialist, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve excellent health outcomes.

Job Overview:

  • To provide independent nursing services to designated patients.
  • To administer prescribed medical treatments.
  • To collaborate and interact within the healthcare team.
  • To participate in the coordination of patient care and discharge.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree from an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • At least one year of recent acute medical/surgical nursing experience.
  • Eligibility for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
  • Prioritize care for individual patients or groups of patients.
  • Respond to multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Assume responsibility for own professional growth and development.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
