The estimated salary for this position is between $62,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

This challenging and rewarding role requires a minimum of one year's experience working in an inpatient adult acute care setting. You must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

You will be responsible for providing psychosocial assessments, risk screenings, counseling, case management, and discharge planning services to patients and their families. Your expertise will help ensure that our patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social work services to patients and their families
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and services
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies
  • Engage with community agencies and resources to support patients and families
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized institution
  • Active registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW)
  • At least one year's experience working in an inpatient adult acute care setting
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
