**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

**About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

**Responsibilities:**

  1. Assess patients in critical care settings, identifying their medical needs and developing appropriate care plans.
  2. Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  3. Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication management, wound care, and other treatments.
  4. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all interactions and interventions.

**Requirements:**

  • Master's degree in Nursing (or equivalent) with a specialization in Critical Care.
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

**Compensation and Benefits:**

  • An estimated salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
