Nurse 3 Position

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in parenteral and enteral nutrition. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the MHNP team to assess, plan, and evaluate the nutritional care of patients referred to the program.
The Home Nutrition Support Nurse will act as a resource to other healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, physicians, and nurses in the hospital or community. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing education to patients, families, other healthcare professionals, and community groups.
The ideal candidate will have three years of recent experience in acute care nursing and demonstrated expertise in parenteral and enteral nutrition. Pediatric and community experience is an asset. The successful candidate will be a graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program and have a Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
The Home Nutrition Support Nurse will be responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM), is preferred. The incumbent will also be required to have Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training and a driver's license and access to a motor vehicle.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, teaching, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and maintain professional standards. The ideal candidate will also be able to work as a team member and have the ability to adapt to changing situations.
This is a term position that may end earlier as outlined in the collective agreement. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred for a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
