Job Title: Nurse 3 Position

At WRHA Community Health Services, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Home Care Team as a Nurse 3 Position.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to clients in their homes, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of consistent client nursing services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage nursing staff according to the MNU collective agreement, CRNM Standards of Practice, and Operational Standards for the Visiting Nurse Program.
  • Manage nursing resources to ensure efficient delivery of client care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years recent clinical nursing experience, with community experience an asset.
  • Experience supervising staff required, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Case Management experience an asset.
  • Active CRNM registration.
  • Valid driver's license and use of a vehicle.
  • Subject to a Criminal Records Check.

  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize a large complex workload.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity as it relates to clients and staff.
