Job Summary:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer/Geoscientist to join our Critical Infrastructure team in Yellowknife, NWT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of construction and remediation activities at the Giant Mine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and monitor the performance of contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and contract requirements.
  • Support and ensure Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards are followed at site by subcontractors.
  • Oversee and perform site inspections and enforcement of standards.
  • Oversee Quality Control/Quality Assurance of work being performed by contractors.
  • Support Project Managers and Engineers in the delivery of construction scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality of work packages delivered by sub-contractors.
  • Monitor, verify, and generate daily reports on the progress and performance of subcontractor activities.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in a related field.
  • Significant experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects.
  • Ability to understand design specifications, quality plans, and perform quality assurance functions.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to monitor and maintain contractor adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license.
