About the Role

The City of Abbotsford's IT Department is seeking a highly skilled GIS professional to join our team. As a GIS Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting and administering the City's enterprise GIS System, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, Geodatabases, and Servers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise GIS solutions to meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for geodata modeling, content management, and strategies
  • Facilitate the effective use of GIS business applications, technologies, and databases
  • Provide technical support and training to users
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize GIS projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information System (GIS), or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in implementing and supporting enterprise GIS solutions, database administration, data analysis, and GIS systems architecture
  • Extensive knowledge of GIS enterprise system architecture, enterprise geodata management, and enterprise administration
  • Advanced working knowledge of Python scripting for ArcGIS deployment and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
