About the Role:

NFI Group Inc. is a leading global bus manufacturer committed to creating a better product, a better workplace, and a better world. We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Team Lead to drive our sustainability initiatives across environmental, social, governance, and economic dimensions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of programs aligned with NFI's corporate sustainability goals and promote sustainable practices throughout the organization.
  • Participate in project planning and execution, and conduct program assessments to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Monitor changes in sustainability indices, reporting, legislation, and the needs and expectations of stakeholders.
  • Lead and oversee the accuracy, compliance, and clarity of reports, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy ensuring consistent messaging supporting the promotion of NFI's sustainability initiatives.

Requirements:

  • University or college degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, environmental management, business, finance, engineering, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Demonstrated technical and sustainability project management experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven experience with sustainability reporting requirements, indices, and scoring agencies (CDP Climate Change, TCFD, SASB, GRI, SBTi, ISO 14001 / 45001) is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with a strong emphasis in Excel (Microsoft Power BI considered an asset).
