Environmental Sustainability Coordinator

As an Environmental Sustainability Coordinator with Summit Search Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the environmental responsibility of our clients' operations. This hybrid position offers the perfect blend of office and fieldwork, allowing you to make a tangible impact on the environment while developing your skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily reports for environmental data collection, providing valuable insights into our clients' operations and enabling informed decision-making.
- Represent our clients' environmental interests in First Nation issues, fostering strong relationships and driving positive outcomes.
- Develop engaging presentations for management, community, First Nation organizations, and regulators, effectively communicating key messages and recommendations.
- Maintain a proactive approach to identifying operating and capital requirements, working closely with management to implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with consultants and outside contractors to enhance mine rehabilitation and tailing improvement projects, driving environmental sustainability and efficiency.
- Design and implement sampling and reporting plans, ensuring compliance with Federal and Provincial regulations and site requirements.
- Analyze discharge data to identify trends, making recommendations for process improvements and optimization.
- Conduct field sampling in accordance with both Federal and Provincial Regulations and Site Requirements, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Coordinate the shipping of water samples to independent labs, ensuring timely and accurate analysis.
- Manage and analyze data from all sampling and in-house sampling programs, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary Education in Environmental Studies or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a similar environmental role.
- Working knowledge of pertinent Provincial and Federal Regulatory requirements, including relevant laws and policies.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of commitment to quality and results.
