Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Support Specialist to join our team in Prince George, BC. As a key member of our Regional Programs team, you will provide administrative support to our staff and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of our programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictation, including correspondence and reports, and edit output for accuracy.
- Provide reception services, including operating a multi-line switchboard and responding to inquiries.
- Process referrals and enter client data into computer systems and databases.
- Maintain client charts, including creating clinical records and ensuring material is labeled with patient information.
- Coordinate and prepare client charts for off-site storage and initiate retrieval requests.
- Perform event and program tracking, including logging into electronic calendars and schedules.
- Type non-technical material, such as general correspondence and forms, using word processing software.
Requirements
- Grade 12 graduation.
- Graduation from an approved program in Medical Transcription.
- One year of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
