Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at H&M Group. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth, leading a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Profit Growth: Analyze and follow up on sales and profit key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department, working closely with visual merchandisers to maximize selling and secure store operations.
- Team Leadership: Manage the recruitment, training, development, and succession planning of team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Customer Experience: Ensure that H&M Customer Service standards are always delivered through active coaching and leading by example, providing feedback and development opportunities to team members.
- Store Operations: Plan and prioritize actions with the team to drive sales and profit growth, ensuring the implementation of commercial strategies and store routines.
- Performance Management: Evaluate and manage the performance of team members, providing regular feedback, development plans, and follow-ups to improve performance and develop the team.
- Leadership Experience: 1-2+ years of leadership experience in a retail or sales environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and counsel staff on management and progressive discipline techniques.
- Customer Service: Passion for customer service and helping people find their style, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with an eye for detail and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds, stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull, and carry items for a short distance.
