Department Operations Manager

Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high-quality products, and upholding food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Store Operations Manager in leading the store team and maintaining departmental standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure excellent customer service, high-quality products, and efficient procedures.
- Share responsibility for the overall operation and profitability of the department.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve high performance and drive business results.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Confidence, drive, and enthusiasm to lead and motivate team members.
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Product knowledge and understanding of food products.
- Delegation and coaching skills.
The Assistant Department Manager will work in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers and colleagues regularly. The role involves standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
The successful candidate will be required to spend the majority of their time standing and will be exposed to various allergens and work environments, including temperature changes.
