Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Tech to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and participating in therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Registered Nurses in providing direct patient care, including accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, contributing to the development of individualized care plans.
- Complete patient care assignments, including Point of Care testing and electronic medical records documentation.
- Identify and report patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques to promote patient safety.
- Communicate changes in patient status to Registered Nurses and participate in critical incident debriefing.
- Follow established Nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in collaboration with others.
- Previous experience in direct patient care preferred.
