BFL CANADA, a leading risk management and insurance brokerage firm, is searching for a skilled Commercial Insurance Broker to join our team in Montreal.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage a portfolio of business accounts by meticulously assessing client exposure and claims history. Propose tailored coverage solutions and develop comprehensive account strategies, ensuring exceptional client communication throughout the process.
  • Business Development: Identify potential client needs through thorough research and leverage division and company resources effectively to secure new business opportunities.
  • Underwriting Expertise: Place new business, renewals, and endorsements efficiently and promptly. Collaborate with underwriters, marketing specialists, and clients to ensure seamless policy management.
  • Market Knowledge: Maintain extensive market relationships and actively participate in industry events and targeted public relations activities to stay abreast of market trends and opportunities.
  • Administrative Proficiency: Oversee underwriting submission preparation, maintain accurate documentation for accounts and correspondence. Ensure policy expiration lists, records, and files are meticulously organized and up-to-date.
  • Claims Management: Establish procedures for claims administration and loss prevention activities. Monitor outstanding insurer information, endorsements, or policy documents, and effectively track issues with underwriters, marketing specialists, and clients.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in general commercial insurance.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Holds an AMF insurance broker license and is bilingual (French and English) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
