About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled X-Ray Imaging Specialist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various types of X-ray equipment, including mobile units and fluoroscopic machines
  • Develop and implement imaging protocols to ensure high-quality images and efficient procedures
  • Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records of patient data, including medical history, test results, and image quality metrics

Requirements:

  • Certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or equivalent provincial/territorial association
  • Completion of a recognized radiography program and relevant experience in an acute-care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
