About the Opportunity

This Diagnostic Imaging Specialist role is part of our Central Zone team, responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will perform a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation, applying the ALARA principle, and remain responsive to and responsible for each patient in their care.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited School of Radiological Technology, Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification, and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure. Previous experience is an asset, as is qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality. Basic Life Support Certification and ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties are essential skills for this role.

Hours and Compensation

This casual relief position requires shift work, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday coverage. Rotation to other areas in Central Zone Diagnostic Imaging may be required.

The hourly salary for this role is $30.83 - $37.54, providing a competitive compensation package for the successful candidate.
