We are seeking a skilled Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machine tools to perform precision machining operations. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all documentation is properly filled out and that equipment maintenance records are accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and charts to plan the best sequence of operations.
- Compute dimensions and tolerances, measure, and lay out work pieces.
- Set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have at least 1 year of experience as a machinist, specifically with CNC programming experience. A secondary school diploma or equivalent is required, and a 2-year Electromechanical Engineering Technician course is an asset. The applicant must speak, read, and write in English. Successful candidates will be remunerated at $28.50 per hour and receive health benefits.
