Veterinary Reception Job Description


Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre is welcoming a full-time Client Care Coordinator to join our team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families.



Job Overview
  • This position requires prior experience in customer service and administrative duties.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills and be able to put pets and pet parents at ease.
  • Prior knowledge or ability to learn medical terminology and VCA Woofware is required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling appointments, admitting, and discharging pet patients.
  • Answering a multiline phone system and tracking bookings.
  • Invoicing, billing, creating estimates, and processing payments.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of reception areas, pet holding areas, and common spaces.


Requirements

The successful candidate will possess initiative, attention to detail, and above-average time management skills. Prior veterinary experience or completion of an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred.
