IT Support Specialist/Break Fix

12 Month Contract - Part Time 24Hrs/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at Universal Business Solutions. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and repair services for computer hardware and software.


Key Responsibilities
  • PC Hardware/Software troubleshooting, parts replacements, and installation
  • Basic understanding of PC functionality, technical support, and device security
  • Knowledge of email, Lotus Notes, and automation process of security updates
  • Configure laptop devices as required, networking, and wireless knowledge
  • Cell phone support, assist customers in configuring phones using MaaS360 and HCL Verse
  • Troubleshoot and solve tough technology problems, resolve technical IT issues for clients
  • Accurately track customer issues, their resolutions
  • Thorough knowledge of PCs, Servers, hardware, software, and peripherals, as well as a superior understanding of networking technologies, concepts, and protocols
  • Basic network printer and print knowledge
  • Secondary duties may include remotely supporting other locations as needed


Requirements
  • 2 years + experience working on repairing or break/fix work for computer hardware including laptops
  • A+ certification preferred
