Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Ocean Particle Fluxes

Dalhousie University is seeking a distinguished researcher to fill the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Ocean Particle Fluxes. This esteemed position is designed for an exceptional scholar with a strong track record in conducting and leading world-class research.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and lead innovative research in ocean particle fluxes, with a focus on the carbon cycle and its impact on global element cycles.
- Develop and supervise graduate students, as well as contribute to the undergraduate and graduate curriculum of the department.
- Engage with the Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI) and its research initiatives, including the Transforming Climate Action (TCA) program.
The successful candidate will be a mid to late career Associate or Full Professor with a strong record of research achievement. They will have a deep understanding of ocean particle fluxes and their impact on the carbon cycle, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
