About the Department of Industrial Engineering

About the Job

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Digital Twin Engineering Expert for Ocean Industries. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, and/or Simulation.

The candidate will be expected to perform cutting-edge research in Digital Twin Engineering for Ocean Industries, developing advanced Decision Support Systems (DSS) to support sustainable human uses of ocean spaces.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of research excellence, leadership in multidisciplinary and collaborative research achievements, and experience collaborating with industry.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a scientifically groundbreaking, practice-oriented, and fruitful research program, in collaboration with other researchers and industry partners.

Responsibilities
  • Develop advanced Decision Support Systems (DSS) to support sustainable human uses of ocean spaces
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in Digital Twin Engineering for Ocean Industries
  • Collaborate with other researchers and industry partners to develop a scientifically groundbreaking, practice-oriented, and fruitful research program
  • Provide leadership in multidisciplinary and collaborative research achievements
  • Develop and teach courses in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, and/or Simulation
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field
  • Strong background in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, and/or Simulation
  • Experience collaborating with industry
  • Strong track record of research excellence
  • Leadership in multidisciplinary and collaborative research achievements
