Job OverviewThis role offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Healthcare Security Operations Centre Dispatcher. As a key member of our operations centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors at Kingston General Hospital.
ResponsibilitiesAs a dispatcher, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and controlling access to the hospital and affiliated sites;
- Responding to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance;
- Logging details of radio transmissions, telephone calls, and verbal instructions;
- Coordinating with security personnel to ensure timely responses to incidents;
- Maintaining the camera surveillance system;
- Providing excellent customer service and communication skills to stakeholders;
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A high level of professionalism and attention to detail;
- Previous security experience, preferably in healthcare;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure;
- First Aid and CPR Level C + AED certification;
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and TB Skin Tests);
- Able to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Commitment to full-time availability for a minimum of 6 months.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $61,000 - $67,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
