**Job Title:** Clinical Mental Health Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide crisis intervention and assessment services to adults and children in emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-informed crisis intervention, assessment, and treatment services to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and physicians to provide comprehensive care
  • Utilize various treatment modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions
  • Develop and implement effective case management plans to support clients
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and progress

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work (clinical specialization), Occupational Therapy, or Nursing/Psychiatric Nursing
  • Active or eligible registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
  • Minimum two years' experience working with clients experiencing mental health problems
  • Working knowledge of suicide and crisis intervention, as well as evidence-based interventions
  • Demonstrated assessment skills, commitment to client-focused care, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
