About the Role

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team at Alberta Health Services, we are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide critical intervention services to individuals experiencing acute psychiatric disorders.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires exceptional assessment and treatment planning skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing crisis intervention services to clients across various age groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans
  • Provide crisis intervention services, including emergency response and stabilization
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, physicians, and other stakeholders
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, with a clinical specialization in mental health
  • Active registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
  • Five years of recent experience in mental health, with a focus on crisis intervention and assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $ $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
