We are seeking an experienced CMHC Multi-Unit Residential Financing Manager to join our team at Meridian. As a key member of our Business Banking team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our CMHC MUR lending program, ensuring timely and seamless delivery of CMHC MUR lending across our Business Banking Centres, Business Credit Department, Business Banking Operations, Treasury, and other groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Director, CMHC MUR Financing in developing and implementing the CMHC MUR lending program, ensuring it is efficient, effective, and represents appropriate risk.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with CMHC personnel at all levels, for all matters relating to the CMHC MUR financing program.
  • Work closely with designated Business Banking relationship teams to identify suitable Members and prospects for direct CMHC MUR business development and resultant business development meetings.
  • Develop and roll out CMHC MUR lenders' training to select personnel within our Business Banking Centres, Business Banking Operations, and Business Credit Department.
  • Ensure all approved CMHC MUR facilities are documented and administered in strict compliance with CMHC's Certificate of Insurance and special conditions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in the CMHC MUR market, preferably with experience as an underwriter within CMHC, and/or as an originator/underwriter with a CMHC approved lender and/or approved correspondent.
  • Extensive knowledge of CMHC's MUR lending programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce/business or economics.
  • Demonstrated strength in all aspects of business development.
  • Strong analytical, due diligence, negotiation, credit underwriting and adjudication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
