Accountant - Forestry Industry

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a passion for the Forestry industry to join our client's finance and revenue processing team in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare financial statements and analysis
  • Handle month-end working papers and adjustments
  • Manage semi-monthly bank reconciliations and online banking transactions
  • Review and post subordinate's transactions
  • Participate in invoicing and revenue processing
  • Develop business processes and accounting policies
  • Prepare Excise tax returns and compliance reporting
  • Assist in setting departmental priorities

Requirements:

  • Experience in the Forestry industry
  • CPA designation is highly valued
  • Proficiency in AccPac, Sage 50/300, or Adagio
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills
  • Comfortable with non-routine tasks and assignments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and supervisory experience

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
  • Hybrid Work Model: Work from home 2 days a week
