Accountant - Forestry Sector

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a passion for the Forestry industry to join our client's finance and revenue processing team in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Preparing financial statements and analysis
  • Handling month-end working papers and adjustments
  • Managing semi-monthly bank reconciliations and online banking transactions
  • Reviewing and posting subordinate's transactions
  • Participating in invoicing and revenue processing
  • Developing business processes and accounting policies
  • Preparing Excise tax returns and compliance reporting
  • Assisting in setting departmental priorities

Requirements:

  • CPA designation is highly valued
  • Proficiency in AccPac, Sage 50/300, or Adagio
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills
  • Comfortable with non-routine tasks and assignments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and supervisory experience
