Job Summary

The Senior Animator at Zoic Studios is responsible for creating engaging and naturalistic performances for CG characters and objects. This role requires expertise in traditional animation principles, acting, performance, layout, and composition for feature film production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take creatively complex shots from blocking through final animation.
  • Collaborate with directors and supervisors to ensure the highest quality of animation.
  • Meet deadlines as established by production.
  • Develop and maintain animation toolsets, libraries, and software.
  • Assist in mentoring junior animators.
  • Perform other tasks related to CG animation, including shot layouts, animating cameras, and props.

Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience as a CG Character Animator in the entertainment industry.
  • Expertise in traditional animation principles, acting, performance, layout, and composition for feature film production.
  • Strong knowledge of Maya animation tools and workflow.
  • Experience working in a visual effects pipeline.
  • Experience working with motion capture data and crowds.

Additional Information
  • British Columbia Employees Pay Range: $50 - $65.
  • Candidates MUST be located in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia.
  • Zoic does not cover relocation costs.
